These features include flip rear sight, flat blue bolt, push safety on the trigger guard, 1st type barrel band, and high wood stock with two rivet handguard. The carbine also has the more square nose handguard typical to early production Winchester M1 Carbines. Receiver has standard Winchester markings with a "W" marked tang and the "W" marked barrel has a Winchester factory proof. The right side of the buttstock is correctly stamped "W.R.A. / G.H.D." next to an ordnance wheel crossed cannon cartouche and has an oval oiler cutout stamped with the letter "W".
