Manufactured in 1896. Lyman beaded blade front sight and replacement buckhorn rear sight, with full length magazine tube. Top barrel flat has the two line address and "25-20 W.C.F.", upper tang has the three line model/patent marking, frame underside has the serial number, and takedown lever has the 1893 patent date. Smooth forearm and straight grip stock with forend cap and crescent buttplate.
Fine. The rifle retains 70% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina with some very scattered minor pitting. The hammer and lever retain 30% original case colors and the buttplate has a smooth brown-gray patina. The refinished wood is fine with some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically fine.
