Smooth stock with short handguard, grooved forearm, two barrel bands, sling swivels, and trapdoor buttplate. Complete with a cleaning rod. In addition to this rifle is an article written by John Walter which states that these guns were the only survivors of a consignment of 25 guns given by India to the Prime Minister's bodyguard in 1904. Consignor states this is a Nepalese Pattern Lee-Metford Rifle.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The rifle retains 50% faded original blue finish thinning to a plum patina mixed with a smooth gray patina. The wood is fine with a hairline crack on the handguard and a minor crack near the buttplate tang, along with some minor pressure dents and scratches. Mechanically fine.
