Factory Engraved Marlin 38 Caliber Standard Model 1878 Spur Trigger Revolver

Produced between 1876 and 1888. Fixed sights with "38 STANDARD 1878" on the barrel rib, New Haven address and patent dates on the left side, and matching numbers on the barrel, cylinder and butt. Engraving is present on many parts, with scrollwork, burst patterns, zigzag borders, and geometric designs. Grips are checkered, with "JMM" imprints at the tops.

ConditionVery good with 70% of the nickel finish, showing patches of gray and brown patina on the exposed steel, mild flaking and spotting, and scattered handling marks. Grips are good replacements, slightly undersized, with scuffs. Mechanically needs minor work as it is out of time.
