"SWAMP ANGEL" marked top strap and two line address/patent dates marking on left barrel flat. Sides of the frame feature a scroll and punch dot engraving with a border engraving on the back strap. Cylinder has a floral engraving on the chambers, front sides of frame and a checkered pattern and floral engraving, and the top, upper left, upper right, and right barrel flats have a geometric engraving. Varnished grips with the number "19" on the backs.

Manufactured from 1864 to 1872 with approximately 3,300 produced left side of frame is marked with the Marston address and patent marking over "IMPROVED 1864". Matching serial number on left side of frame under grip and on the smooth rosewood grip panels.
