This English bowie knife has a 9 3/4" blade marked "E. BARNES / SHEFFIELD" and a spread winged eagle on the left side. The left side of the blade also has clear etched portraits of Victor Emmanuel and General Giuseppe Garibaldi, two Italian military and political figures. Fitted with brass scales with four rivets. The scales have raised "E Pluribus Unum" spread eagle/shield motifs with the text "LIBERTY / AND / UNION" near the brass guard. OAL: 15".
