A) E. Allen Vest Pocket Derringer with Pearl Grips

Manufactured form 1869 to 1871 with an estimated several hundred produced. Barrel is marked "E. ALLEN & CO. MAKERS" on the top flat. Fitted with pearl grips.

ConditionGood. The barrel has an artificial smooth brown-gray patina with some very fine pitting. The frame has a smooth aged patina. The replaced pearl grips are very fine with the pearl taking on a yellow appearance. Mechanically functions, but barrel is loose.

Barrel has maker marking as described in "A". Fitted with ivory grips.

ConditionGood. The barrel has a smooth bright gray patina with some minor handling marks. The frame has an even untouched aged patina. The undersized replacement grips are very good with some age cracking. The ivory has an attractive grain patina. Mechanically fine.
