Excellent Colt Model 1902 Military Semi-Automatic Pistol

Manufactured in 1919. The left side of the slide is marked with the two line, two block "PATENTED / APR.20, 1897, SEPT.9,1902" and "COLT'S PT.F.A.MFG. CO. / HARTFORD, CT.U.S.A.", with the Rampant Colt behind the serrations. The serial number is marked on the left side of the frame and the right side of the slide is marked "AUTOMATIC COLT / CALIBRE 38 RIMLESS SMOKELESS". The upper left front of the trigger guard is marked with the number "1" over the Colt triangle "VP" proof and 48 on the opposite. Standard fixed low profile sights, blue barrel with bright chamber, lanyard loop on the left side of the frame heel, blue finish with casehardened hammer and lanyard loop, correctly unmarked blue magazine and fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with "COLT" in a ribbon at the top and the circled Rampant Colt in the center.

ConditionExcellent. The pistol retains 95% plus of the original Colt high polish blue finish. Finish loss is limited to some minor holster wear on the front of the slide and frame and upper edges of the slide. There are also numerous scattered minor dings and scratches on the slide. The hammer and lanyard loop retain 90% of the original case colors. The grips are very fine, with exception of a tiny chip in the middle rear at the edge of the checkered panel on the right panel, otherwise a few very minor dings, and crisp checkering. The markings are clear and crisp. Mechanically excellent.
