Left side of the frame and loading lever are marked "W. TRANTER'S PATENT". Light floral scroll engraving on the frame, barrel breech, buttcap, and trigger guard, with a band of engraving at the muzzle. The cylinder has British proofs stamped at the rear between the chambers. The right side of the frame has a safety that when deployed stops the cylinder from rotating when the trigger is pulled. Fitted with a checkered one-piece grip with a silver initial plaque on the left side with initials "AHS". Complete with a partitioned wooden case lined with green felt.
