Description:

Produced by Emil Busch, the ZF-43(b) is a long eye relief scope (approximate 10 inch relief) designed with the G43 semi-automatic rifle. In design, the 43(b) has attributes of both the more common ZF4 scope and the ZF41"shooters aid", being mounted ahead of the action and giving greater magnification. The main body is marked "+/ cxn/ 143161/ Z.F.43(B)", with a 7/8" objective lens and a 1 1/2" ocular lens. A slide-off metal sunshield is provided for the objective, with the ocular lens equipped with a detachable smoked glass cover, which would ease eye fatigue in brightly lit desert or arctic environments. Also included with the scope is a leatherette transport case, marked "Z.F.43(B)" in white paint on the outside. This exact scope is featured on page 318 of "The German Sniper" by Peter Senich (see book photo).

Rating Definition:

Excellent plus, with some minor handling marks on the body. The optics are excellent, with some thin, short lines visible around the crosshair. An extremely rare piece of German sniper equipment, difficult to acquire in any condition. First one ever offered by our auction company.
