A) N. Gilon Top Break Double Action Folding Trigger Revolver

Description:

The left barrel flat is marked "N. GILON / BREVETE" with a star/X on the lower left flat. The rear of the cylinder has a star/X and a Liege ELG proof and the front of the cylinder has the number "13" and the letter "U". A light scroll engraving is featured on the cylinder chambers and sides of the frame, with a line pattern engraving on the back strap and butt. Fitted with two-piece checkered grips with the letter "R" stamped on the bottom of left grip.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The revolver retains 40% original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. The grips are fine with some chipping on the bottom edges and a few minor bruises in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically fine.

There are no maker markings with a crown/S St. Etienne proof stamped on the right barrel flat and front of the cylinder. 6-shot fluted cylinder, ejector rod mounted on the right side, and folding trigger. Octagon barrel with solid rib, bead front sight, and notch rear sight. Fitted with smooth grip.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The barrel and cylinder retain 70% original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. The frame has a smooth gray patina. There is some mild pitting mostly on the frame and grip straps. The grips are fine with some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically fine.
