Blade front sight with grooved rear sight. Deeply struck proofs appear on both lock plates in front of the hammer and on both barrels at the breech with another proof on the trigger guard which is surrounded by engraving. The upper tang and the lock plates at the rear are also engraved. The engraving and proofs appear to have been originally highlighted in gold. "EN EIBAR" and "ANO D 1822" are silver inlaid on the left and right barrels respectively at the breech and are flanked by silver inlaid accents. The action components are lightly engraved with artfully shaped hammers. The half stock features checkering on the forearm and wrist with the buttstock tang having a raised finial. The forearm has a single barrel wedge.

Very fine. The metal surfaces have a cleaned gray patina with some pin point pitting. The varnished stock is very good with a couple missing minor chips and a couple filled repairs with the forearm repaired near the tip. The checkering is smooth. The buttstock appears to have a ground sling swivel stud near the toe and there is some deep pitting on the buttplate. Mechanically fine.
