Description:

This example was produced in December of 1928, according to the barrel code. Single brass bead sight on the solid rib, with the 2-line patent and address markings on the left side, "MOD" marked choke and "XW" date code. The receiver has "THE/ SPORTSMAN" and "B-GRADE" on the left side, with roll-engraved scenes of three ducks in flight over a marsh on the left side and 2 flying and one standing pheasant among short grass on the right. Select grade walnut stock, with checkered on the forearm and pistol grip, 14 inch length of pull and a serrated Remington buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Near new, with only a few tiny light handling marks. The wood on this shotgun is nothing short of magnificent, showing a well defined feather pattern. This writer marvels that this shotgun manufactured in 1928 looks like it was made yesterday!! From the James Tipton Collection.
