This is a high grade engraved German imported box-lock hammerless shotgun with side plates. Double bead sight on the solid matte rib missing the mid-sight. 2 3/4" chambers, choked full with ejectors. The barrel rib is marked "ABERCROMBIE -&- FITCH Co., New York Monogram". Blue barrels scallop engraved at the breech. Casehardened frame engraved in a simple but elegant tight scroll with border on each side. Light floral scroll engraving extends to the bottom of the receiver, break lever and trigger guard. Double trigger, tang safety and mounted with a checkered forearm and straight grip stock with a hand checkered at bare wood butt and gold initial oval on the bottom.

Very fine. 95% original blue finish remains on the barrel displaying only minor surface scratches. All markings are crisp and clear. The left barrel ejector does not work. The receiver retains strong and vibrant flashes of original case colors and the balance is now an aged gray patina. The wood is very good. The forearm has had a period coat of varnish applied. The checkering is still crisp.
