Produced from 1967 to 1974, the Model 76 was designed as a possible replacement for the Carl Gustaf M/45 Sub-Machine Gun, which was popular with Navy SEALS but unavailable due to a Swedish arms embargo. Open bolt operation, with a blade front and notch rear sights, equipped with an ambidextrous 3 position "FULL - SEMI - SAFE" selector switch, perforated hand guard, checkered pistol grip, and a rubber covered side folding steel buttstock. The magazine well assembly is marked with the S&W logo on the right side, and the 4-line "MADE IN U.S.A." marking on the left. With a shipping box numbered to gun. NOTE: This arm is classified by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives as a "Machine Gun", in 9mm. This is a fully transferable NFA Class III Firearm currently on a Form 4. You are required to check your state and/or local laws as to whether or not you may own this. This weapon can be transferred to a Class III dealer at no charge. Buyer pays all other transfer fees and stamps.
