This is a nice example of a Remington Model 11 "Military finish" riot semi-automatic shotgun. The shotgun is marked "U.S. Ordnance shell MILITARY FINISH" along the top left side of the receiver, and the lower left is marked "Remington / REG.U.S.PAT.OFF." over the serial number. The top of the barrel is stamped "U.S. Ordnance shell" behind the two line address/patent dates. The left side at the breech is marked "CYL WMM anchor" and the right side with "R.E.P." in an oval. The left side of the buttstock is stamped with the crossed cannon ordnance escutcheon, (faint) followed by "FJA". The barrel and receiver are a dull blue military finish. Mounted with a smooth oil finished forearm and pistol grip stock.

Very fine as partially refinished (wood). The shotgun retains 97% original dull blue military blue finish with some scratches through the blue near the address on the barrel and a small area of wear ahead of that. Overall there are a few minor scratches and handling marks. The wood has been lightly sanded and refinished with a few scattered minor pressure dents and a few minor scratches. As noted above the cannon cartouche is faint, the "FJA" is clear. Some markings are highlighted in white and all markings remain clear and crisp. Mechanically excellent.
