Two U.S. M1 Carbines

A) U.S. Underwood M1 Semi-Automatic Carbine with Sling

Blade front and two leaf rear sights, with a Type I barrel band, "3-43" dated Underwood barrel, flat bolt, button safety and "U" magazine catch. High wood stock, with 2-rivet hand guard, faint "UEF/ GHD" cartouche, oval oiler cut, "PU" in the sling cut and a green canvas sling.

ConditionVery fine, with 80% of the finish, showing areas of brown patina, scattered handling marks, and a patch of gray and brown on the bolt. The rear sight has been mounted backwards, with the 2nd leaf cut down to form an open notch. Stock is very fine with an overcoat of protective varnish. "S.S." marked on the buttstock, and overall dings. Mechanically excellent.

B) U.S. National Postal Meter M1 Semi-Automatic Carbine with Sling

Blade front and 2-leaf rear sights, with a "7-43" dated Underwood barrel, Type I barrel band, flat top bolt, milled trigger guard, button safety and "MN" marked magazine catch. High wood stock, with 2-rivet hand guard, oval oiler cutout, "TRIMBLE/ TN" in the sling cut, "NPM/ FJA" and Ordnance cartouches on the right side, tan canvas sling and checkered buttplate.

ConditionVery good, with 30% of the original parkerized finish, showing areas of brown patina, edge wear and mild handling marks. Stock is heavily sanded and re-oiled, with a few small cracks and scattered pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
