The left side of the slide is marked "NATIONAL / * MATCH* COLT AUTOMATIC / CALIBER 45" followed by the Rampant Colt, the right side of the slide is marked with the one line address and the serial number is marked on the right side of the frame. Blade front and adjustable target rear sights, skeletonized, wide serrated trigger with stop adjustment, blue magazine marked "COLT 45 AUTO" on the bottom, bright barrel marked "COLT 45 AUTO. N.M." on the breech and fitted with checkered walnut grips with gold medallions. Colt advertised the Gold Cup National Match as probably the finest 45 target pistol in the world.
