Manufactured in 1929. Has a pinned front sight blade and two folding two leaf rear sight. Top of barrel ahead of the rear sight and top of the front receiver have been drilled and there is a Redfield receiver mounted peep sight. Standard barrel and receiver markings with the Winchester oval proofmark on the left side of the barrel and receiver at the breech. Mounted with a one-piece checkered pistol grip stock with a serrated steel buttplate and sling swivel eyes. Two holes for tang sight mounting behind the upper tang. The Model 54 is extremely rare in 30 WCF caliber.

Very good. The rifle retains 70% original blue finish with a mix of thin original blue finish and smooth plum patina on the barrel. The trigger guard has a smooth mottled gray patina, with strong original blue in the protected areas. The floor plate is a mix of thin original blue finish and smooth gray and brown patina. The stock has been refinished and remains very good, some bruises in the forearm checkering and overall a few minor dings and handling marks. The markings are clear and crisp. The action is excellent.
