Manufactured in 1973, the Grade IV rifles were only hand engraved from 1970 to 1976. The French grey receiver is engraved with two running deer in a wooded scene on the left side and two running antelope in a mountain plain scene on the right side. The scenes are flanked by floral scroll engraving with a matte background. The lower left rear of the receiver is signed "C. Baerten". The top of the receiver is factory drilled and tapped for scope/sight mounting. The blue barrel was manufactured without sights and has the standard markings. The hinged floor plate is engraved with a floral scroll design. Gold plated trigger and mounted with a high gloss, nicely figured walnut checkered forearm and flat bottom pistol grip stock with a black plastic Browning buttplate and sling swivel studs. The checkering has floral carved and dot bordering.
