Description:

Beautiful medium brown Little Brown Jug by Anna Pottery presented to Jessie A. Palmer of Mt. Carbon, Illinois located approximately 30 miles north of Anna, Illinois. Writer does not know of Jessie Palmer's relationship to Anna Pottery and the Kirkpatricks's, but will surmise that they were very fond of this individual. The jug is incised "Little Brown Jug/Don’t I Love Thee/Jessie. A. Palmer/Mt. Carbon, ILL at the base of the jug incised is "From Anna Pottery". The jug has a large strap applied handle and a fluted spout. H 5", W 4 1/4", W 4 1/4".

Rating Definition:

Jug is in excellent original condition overall with a few small areas where the glaze separated during firing.
