Midwestern Salt Glaze Bird Decorated Stoneware

Five gallon salt glaze slave jug with two large strap handles applied with a cobalt stencil of a blue jay on a branch with a decorative "5". The piece has damage near the spout and kiln burns near the top where it appears another crock was resting during firing. Six gallon ovoid salt glaze churn with a beautiful cobalt blue free hand bird decoration with a free hand "6" marked at the top. The back side of the churn has a large crack that has been repaired. The front of the piece presents itself well. Primitive salt glaze four gallon bird crock, maker unknown. The bird is free hand decoration. The crock has a chip in the rim but presents itself well.
