Low-arch breechblock, marked "US / MODEL / 1884", with the eagle/shield motif next to "U.S. / SPRINGFIELD" on the lock plate. Smooth straight grip stock, with two "U" marked barrel bands, faint SWP/1889 cartouche, and a "US" marked buttplate. With cleaning rod and leather sling. Complete with a U.S. socket bayonet complete with scabbard and belt hook.
