This is an excellent example of a Colt 1903 Pocket Hammer semi-automatic pistol. Total production of this civilian model was approximately 26,000 between 1903 and 1929 with this pistol having been manufactured in 1922. Standard fixed sights, two block, two line patent dates (1897 & 1902)/ address with the Rampant Colt behind the serrations, serial number on the left side of the frame, and "AUTOMATIC COLT / CALIBRE 38 RIMLESS SMOKELESS" on the right side of the slide. The left side of the trigger guard bow is marked with the Colt "VP" triangle proof and "1" inspector mark. Casehardened hammer, blue "CAL 38 / COLT" marked magazine and checkered hard rubber grips with "COLT" banner at the top and circled Rampant Colt in the center. Complete with the original box numbered to the gun, with manual, "Special Instructions" pamphlet , bore brush and original hanging tag.
