This is a nice example of a prewar Nazi Luger pistol that was manufactured by the Mauser factory. The top of the chamber is dated 1939 and the front toggle has the wartime code of "S/42", for the Mauser factory. The right side of the barrel extension is stamped double "eagle 63" Waffenamt proof along with the single "eagle" firing proof. It is numbered in the military fashion with the full serial number on the front of the frame, the underside of the barrel and the left side of the barrel extension with the last two digits on the various small parts. With all other markings and features being standard. This Luger is complete with two WWII magazines, one original matching magazine that has the unmarked blued magazine body with an aluminum base that is correctly stamped "5079o/+/eagle 63" Waffenamt. The other magazine has an unmarked nickel plated magazine body with an unmarked aluminum base. The pistol is complete with an original black leather, 1939 dated luger holster that is marked on the back, ''LEDERWARENWERK/CURT VOGEL/1939'' over a single "eagle WaA100" Waffenamt proof, which is complete with an original WWII take down tool that has a double Waffenamt proof.

Excellent with 99% of the professionally restored blue finish overall with sharp edges and corners on the pistol with clear sharp markings and proofs overall. The walnut grips have a nice dark brown color on both sides with clear sharp checkering. The holster is in very fine condition with a nice even black color overall with clear sharp markings and tight stitching. As noted this Luger has matching visible numbers to include the one original matching magazine. A very nice example of a pre-war Nazi Luger rig.
