A rare and very nice original WWII example of a scope case for a ZF40 scope for the G41 rifle. The sheet metal case is painted green and designed to hold the ZF40 scope and accessories. The back of the lid is stamped "jvb" and an "eagle/WaA542" proof. Wessel & Muller was the only producer of the stamped ZF40 case. This is a rare case, with only a handful of wartime examples known to exist.

Very fine. The case retains 95% plus of the original green paint and the strap is missing. Interior is bare of any felt and is rusty.
