Description:

Blade front and 3-leaf rear sights, with a number of crown and arrow stamps on the left barrel flat. Border engraved hammer and lock, with a chained nipple protector, "crown/VR" royal cipher behind the hammer and "1862/TOWER" ahead. Smooth straight wrist stock, with 2 barrel bands, ramrod and a brass buttplate marked "N7/171/71" on the heel.

Rating Definition:

Fair, showing a dull gray patina on the barrel, with a blue/brown appearance to the barrel bands, lock and hammer. Some spotting, handling marks and pitting overall. Stock is fair, with mended chips, scattered dings and scratches, and a sling swivel absent from the butt. Mechanically fine.
