Manufactured in 1952. One line address on the left side of the barrel, Rampant Colt over "CHALLENGER" on the left side of the frame, with the serial number on the opposite and the left side of the slide is marked "COLT" followed by the two line caliber designation. Colt "VP" triangle proof on the lower left rear of the trigger guard, "9" on the opposite and "J" on the upper left front. Serrated trigger, blue Colt marked magazine and fitted with brown plastic checkered grips with the Rampant Colt molded at the top of the right panel. Complete with a brown Colt hinged lid box numbered to another gun and manual.

Excellent. The pistol retains 98% original blue finish with some wear on the muzzle and right side of the barrel, some edge wear and some thinning on the back strap. The grips are also excellent with some scattered minor dings on the upper and lower edges, and very crisp checkering. The markings are clear and crisp. The action is excellent. The box is very good.
