Manufactured in 1900. Brass blade front sight and adjustable semi-buck horn rear sight on the 24 inch octagon barrel. The top barrel flat ahead of the rear sight is marked with the two line address/patent date, the left rear upper flat is marked with the nickel steel marking, with "30 W.C.F." on the top flat at the breech. The upper tang is marked "MODEL 1894/WINCHESTER/PAT. AUG. 21, 1894" and the serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame. Blue finish with nickel hammer and bright buttplate, double set triggers. Mounted with a checkered special order light deluxe walnut forearm with steel end cap and pistol grip stock with a hard rubber Winchester grip cap and crescent buttplate.
Very fine as partially refinished (wood revarnished and small parts chrome plated). The rifle retains 95% bright original high polish blue finish with some slight thinning. The hammer and the buttplate has been rechromed. The wood is fine as refinished. The wood has a very attractive figuring and shows a repaired minor crack on the upper front, left side of the forearm and a few overall scattered minor dings and handling marks. The markings are clear. The action is excellent.
