Manufactured in 1930. The left side of the frame is marked "THE WOODSMAN", the left side of the slide "COLT AUTOMATIC/CAL..22 LONG RIFLE" followed by the Rampant Colt. The serial number is marked on the front strap and the upper left front of the trigger guard is marked with the number "1" over the Colt "VP" triangle proof. Special order elevation adjustable front blade bead and windage adjustable rear sights, serrated trigger, checkered oval panel on the back strap, two tone Colt Woodsman marked magazine and fitted with checkered walnut grips. Complete with the original black hinged lid box numbered to the gun, with manual, "special instructions" pamphlet, cleaning brush and sight screwdriver.

Excellent. The pistol retains 99% original blue finish with some minor muzzle and high edge wear. The grips are also excellent with some light wear to the otherwise crisp checkering. The markings are clear and crisp. Mechanically excellent. The box is fine with a tear in the front of the lid, a few small pieces of the outer paper flaked off. The label on the bottom of the box has come loose, but remains in the box, while the remaining labels are intact.
