The left side of the slide is marked "P.38" followed by "byf/42" and the serial number. The right side of slide has an Eagle firing proof and two Eagle 135 proofs. Eagle 135 proofs are present on several components with matching numbers on frame, slide and barrel lug. Brown ribbed grips and "P.38v" marked magazine with an Eagle 135 proof on spine. The back of the grips are stamped with an eagle 359 proof over the number "501".

Very fine. The pistol retains 80% original blue finish with the front grip strap a smooth gray patina with holster wear in the usual spots. There are a few areas of minor pitting. The grips are excellent with some minor handling marks.
