WWII USAAF Bomber Crew Flak Helmet and Flak Goggles

1) Rare USAAF M3 flak helmet that was used by bomber crews with folding ear flaps/covers to accommodate the headphones. This example has been nicely adorned (probably by the USAAF/GI) with Nazi decals (swastika inside a red outlined white circle) on both pivoting ear cups. (Note that swastika decals have been seen on M3 flak helmets and the purpose of these decals might have meant a German fighter this gunner had shot down. This might have been in imitation of fighter pilots putting the swastika on the side of their plane for kills.) The helmet has the lining and chin strap. 2) USAAF bomber crew flak goggles. Rarely worn by aircrews, making these goggles a scarce piece of AAF flight gear.

Condition1) Very good, with spotting overall and some minor handling marks. The ear cup felt pads are missing. The lining remains solid. 2) Very good plus, with the right strap detached and 95% of the original green paint remaining with some minor spotting. The forehead and nose padding remains solid.
