Four American Canteens

All canteens in this lot are round metal construction, with canvas outer covers, canvas hanging straps, and metal reinforced cork stoppers. 1) Canteen, marked "G/ (crossed rifles)/ 3/ CT/ 24" on the side. Stamped "J.C. JOHNSON& Co/ FEB.3.55" on the throat. 2) Canteen, with faint Infantry unit markings, a brass clip on the hanging strap, and a retention chain on the stopper. 3) Canteen, unmarked. 4) Canteen, stamped "MAN. PHILADA:" on the throat, retention cord on stopper.

Condition1) Very good, with some staining of the canvas. 2) Good, with faded markings and stains. Pieces of cork (not from the stopper) are present in the body. 3) Good. The throat is chipped and the stopper is damaged. 4) Fair. Cover is frayed and torn.
