U.S. Springfield Model 1898 Krag Bolt Action Rifle with Bayonet

Pinned blade front sight and rear sight graduated to 2,000 yards and standard receiver markings. Stock has a crisp "JSA/1902"cartouche on the left side and "41" over a script "P" on the underside of wrist, with clearing rod and oiler in butt. With leather sling and a "1902" dated bayonet with no scabbard.

ConditionFine. The rifle retains 70% original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. The cleaned receiver retains traces of original case colors in the protected areas. The wood is excellent with some minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The bayonet is fine.
