These are well made, almost identical copies of the Winchester Model 1892 carbine. The top of the barrel is marked with the address ahead of the rear sight and "44 L" at the breech. The El Tigre trademark is located on the left center of the receiver. The upper receiver tang is marked: "MARCA REGISTRADA/-TIGRE-/MODELO PATENTADO". The serial number, "A/29666" is located on the bottom of the receiver just ahead of the forearm. Dovetailed pinched blade front sight, folding ladder rear sight graduated to "10", saddle ring and staple on the left side of the receiver, finished blue with casehardened hammer and lever, and mounted with a smooth walnut forearm and straight grip stock with a steel carbine buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The barrel and magazine tube retain 90% plus thinning blue finish with areas of smooth brown patina, with a few overall scattered minor dings and scratches. The receiver retains 95% original blue finish with edge wear, normal wear from the saddle ring and a few minor dings and scratches. Much of the original case colors remain on the hammer and lever with a smooth gray on the balance. The wood is very fine with some scattered minor dings, dents and scratches. Clear markings. The action is excellent.
