Manufactured in 1900. Blade front and adjustable buckhorn rear sights with a full length magazine tube. The two line address/patent date marking is stamped on top of the barrel ahead of the rear sight with "38-55" stamped at the breech. The upper tang has the three line model and patent information. The rifle has a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a metal forend cap and crescent buttplate.

Fine. The rifle retains 70% faded original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. The hammer and lever retain strong traces of original case colors. The reoiled wood is very good with scattered minor handling marks. Mechanically fine.
