Description:

This is a Czar Nicholas II WWI era other ranks lancer helmet. Yellow lace circles the base of the red fabric ribbed sides of the mortar board top with yellow cord running up the corners. There is a white horsehair plume and Imperial color cockade badge on the left side of the mortar board top. The front has a brass two-headed eagle plate with a banner at the top with cyrillic text translated to "For Telish October 12th 1877". On the eagle's chest is a silvered rayed star with a blue circle with cyrillic text translated to "For Faith and Loyalty" with a red circle inside the blue with the Imperial Order of St. Andrew. There are velvet backed brass chin scales. The sweat band is black leather and there is a yellow cotton lining. With yellow cord cap line.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, wear is limited to several hairline cracks and some high edge wear overall. The brass components have a generally bright appearance with some aged patina on the chin scales. The imperial cockade has some flaking. The head band and lining have minor wear.
