Description:

Introduced to supplement the original 1933 dagger, specifically for wear by a "SS Man", an officer or a minimum 3-year enlisted veteran. Standard acid etched motto on the 8 5/8 inch blade, with no visible makers mark on the reverse. Chrome finished pommel and guard, with black hardwood grip and standard inlays. 1936 pattern black enamel and chrome finished scabbard, with swastika themed suspension band and a SS chain hanger with proper "crossed bolt" runes on the rear of one link.

Rating Definition:

Very good, with light handling marks and spotting, as well and some verdigris-like residue on the otherwise very fine blade and guard. The grip shows a hairline crack at top with associated chips and mild scratches and dents on the balance. Scabbard is very good, with a screw absent from the tip, some cracking of the enamel, and 6 links total (2 front 4 rear) on the hanger. A solid original representative example of a highly desirable Nazi Dagger.
