Engraved British Copy of Smith & Wesson Revolver

This British revolver is similar in design to the Smith & Wesson No. 2 Army Revolver. The lower barrel flat is stamped "MEYERS" and the upper left flat has two British proofs. Additional British proofs are stamped on the rear of the cylinder between the chambers. A scroll engraving is present on the frame sides, back strap and butt. Fitted with checkered grips.

ConditionVery good. The revolver retains strong amounts of original blue finish in the protected areas with the balance a mottled brown patina. The top strap shows a brown artificially aged patina. The grips are very fine with a few blemishes in the overall crisp checkering. The barrel is slightly loose otherwise action is fine.
