Description:

Green military service jacket size 38R with "G.E. Maxon" leather name tag on left chest, an embroidered circular patch of a flying Boxer dog with a belly tank and a Browning 1919 machine gun on the left breast and a painted Japanese style setting sun patch marked "VII/SUN SETTERS" on the right breast. There is a hand painted P-47 Thunderbolt on the back. These patches indicate this person was part of one of the two squadrons from the 38th Bombardment group that was attached to the Seventh Fighter Command.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The jacket has some light fraying at the end of the sleeves, some discoloration around the leather name tag and the inside label is coming off. The Sun Setters patch is very good. The flying dog patch is good with some small holes. The leather name tag is excellent. The P-47 painting is very good with some light cracking and some wear.
