Manufactured in 1906. Rifle has blade front and adjustable sporting type rear sights and a full length magazine. The barrel and receiver have the factory proof stamped at the breech. The top barrel flat has the two line address/patent marking stamped ahead of the rear sight and "38 W.C.F." stamped at the breech. The upper tang is stamped "MODEL 1892/-WINCHESTER-/TRADE MARK" and the underside of the frame has the serial number. Blue barrel, frame, forend cap and magazine with remaining metal surfaces casehardened. Mounted on nicely figured smooth walnut forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate.

Very fine as partially refinished (wood). The barrel and magazine retain 90% thinning original blue finish. The frame retains 75% plus original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. The hammer, lever and buttplate retain 90% original case colors. The revarnished wood is fine with some minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
