Collector's Lot of Two Allen & Wheelock Sidehammer Revolvers

A) Allen & Wheelock 32 Caliber Sidehammer Revolver

Manufactured from 1859 to 1862 this is a First Model with the button head type cylinder pin secured by a screw entering the underside of the frame. The cylinder has the dog chasing rabbit scene. The left barrel flat has the two line address/patent date marking. Grips, barrel, cylinder pin screw, cylinder pin and cylinder are numbered to gun.

ConditionFine. The revolver retains 30% original blue finish (mostly on the frame and barrel) with the balance a smooth brown patina. Most of the cylinder scene remains. The grips are very good with some scattered minor handling marks. Mechanically needs work as the cylinder does not always rotate when action is cycled.
