Description:

1) Framed Field Marshal Sir Arthur Arnold Barrett's invitation to the Coronation of King Edward VII. The Coronation occurred when Barrett was a Lt. Colonel. Field Marshal Barrett served with the Indian Army and saw extensive action on the North West Frontier and later commanded the Afghanistan operations of 1919. He retired from the Indian Army in 1920 and a year later was promoted to Field Marshal. 2) Grouping of British WWI and WWII medals awarded to Corporal Alfred Frank Barrett of the Royal Artillery which are on a medal bar. Named 1914 Star with 5th Aug-22nd Nov. 1914 clasp and an "Old Contemptibles Association" badge attached to the ribbon. Named British War Medal 1914-20. Named Victory Medal. Defense Medal (1939-45). War medal 1939-45. Accompanying the medals are two framed Army certificates of education (3rd class dated 1912 and 2nd class dated 1914) awarded to Alfred Barrett. 3) Commission of Admiral in the Texas Navy for Michael Barrett and dated 2006. Texas citizens receive this honorary title for special achievement.
