This is an exceptionally nice all original and unaltered pre-WWII Nazi P.08 Luger complete pistol rig. The chamber is dated 1936 and the front toggle has the wartime code of "S/42", for the Mauser factory. The right side of the barrel extension is stamped "double eagle 63" Waffenamt proof along with the single "eagle" firing proof. It is numbered in the military fashion with the full serial number on the front of the frame, the underside of the barrel and the left side of the barrel extension with the last two digits on the various small parts. With all other markings and features being standard. It is fitted with a set of unnumbered checkered walnut grips and has two unmarked nickel plated magazines with aluminum bases that are marked "2940l/Eagle 63" and "2940l/+/Eagle 63" (respectively). It is complete with a smooth black leather holster that is marked on the back "GENSCHOW & CO. A.G./BERLIN" next to an "Eagle/WaA 387/1936", with an original WWII takedown tool that is stamped with an "eagle/63" Waffenamt proof.

Excellent with 98% of the original blue finish overall with wear on the high spots. The various small parts retain 95% of their bright original straw colors overall. The walnut grips are both in excellent condition with nice sharp checkering overall with some freshening of the checkering on the left grip under the safety lever. The holster is also in excellent condition with clear sharp markings, excellent finish overall with nice tight stitching with just a hint of scuffing on the edge of the flap. An extraordinary example of an all matching early WWII Luger rig that would be near impossible to improve upon!
