This is a George Potter & Co. side drum with a brass body painted red on the front side and marked "9th QUEEN'S ROYAL LANCERS" in a banner at the top with the King's crown in the top center over a large "9" on top of crossed lances over a banner marked "LANCERS". There are 13 battle honors on the right side and 13 on the left side. Signed "A.Collins" on the bottom left side. The wooden rims have dark blue edges with a red stripe in the center with a blue wavering line on the red stripe.
