Manufactured in 1949. This rifle features a hooded ramp beaded blade front sight and adjustable buck horn rear sight. The left side of the barrel is marked with the two line address/proof steel, trade mark, model and caliber legend with the Winchester oval proof on the top of the barrel and receiver at the breech. The serial number is marked on the bottom of the receiver. All blue finish, 2/3 length magazine tube and mounted with a smooth walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with a checkered steel buttplate.

Excellent. The rifle retains 98% original blue finish with some minor spotting on the top of the bolt and upper right edge of the receiver. The wood is also excellent with a few scattered minor dents and light scratches. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
