This is a Colt AR-15 SP-1 rifle, manufactured in 1979, with early features such as the three prong flash suppressor and buttstock without trap door for storing cleaning accessories. The left side of the magazine well is marked with the circled Rampant Colt followed by "COLT/AR-15" over "CAL. .223/MODEL SP1/SER SP108741" and the left side of the receiver is marked with the three line address. The barrel is marked along the top "CM P CHROME BORE". The bolt carrier is marked with a "C" on the left side and has the serrations for the forward assist on the right. The rifle is equipped a bayonet lug, elevation adjustable post front and flip rear peep sights and is not equipped with a forward assist. Mounted with a fibrite handguard, pistol grip and stock with a solid rubber buttplate. Includes one 20 round magazine Colt marked on the bottom of the floor plate, and an M1 green web rifle sling is attached.

Fine with 90% original finish remaining, showing thinning finish on the lower receiver and left side of the upper receiver, with some wear along the top edges of the carry handle, with clear original markings. The stock components are excellent showing some handling with minor scratches and scuffs. Mechanically excellent.
