This shotgun was manufactured circa 1943. It has a red bead front sight, steel mid-bead sight, chokes marked WS-1/WS-2 and it has 2 3/4 inch chambers with lengthened forcing cones and ejectors. The left barrel is marked "WINCHESTER--16 GAUGE/2 3/4 CHAM." and on the underside is "WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL/WS-2". The right barrel is marked on the underside "WS-1/WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL". The trigger guard plate is marked "SKEET" and the patent and model markings are present on the water table. Single trigger with selector button and a tang mounted safety switch with gold filled "SAFE" marking. Mounted on a checkered beavertail forearm and pistol grip stock with a solid Winchester recoil pad. Length of pull is 13 1/4 inches.

Very fine as refurbished with 95% of the blue finish, showing a small amount of pitting at the muzzles, some high edge wear, a gray patina on the chambers, some finish wear on the trigger guard and tang with handling marks overall. A small amount of varnish is present on the rear of the frame. Stock is very fine as shortened, with some light scratches, light pressure dents and excellent checkering. Mechanically excellent.
