This is a beautiful example of a factory engraved and gold highlighted Winchester Model 94 AE XTR rifle. The receiver is nicely gold etched relief engraved with deer in a wooded scene on the left side and a wooded scene of two wolfs chasing a moose on the right side above and in front of the loading gate. The balance of the receiver has gold highlighted floral scroll and decorative wire bordering. The rifle comes with a framed letter from a previous owner, who at the time was the Secretary, Treasurer of the Winchester Club of America, dated July 12, 1994 stating that the rifle was purchased by him at auction at the Buffalo Bill Museum in Cody Wyoming the summer of 1990 and that at the time museum personnel attributed the work to Alvin White. This has not been verified. The rifle has the standard markings to the left of the rear sight. The blade front sight, barrel bands, hammer and trigger are gold plated and the remaining parts are blue. Adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight and mounted with a nicely figured checkered walnut forearm and straight grip stock with a checkered black plastic Winchester buttplate. The rifle is complete in a walnut presentation case with wine colored velvet lining.

Near new with only the slightest handling/storage marks. The case is very good with a few scratches on the exterior.
