Description:

Manufactured circa 1868 and is also known as the Model No. 2. The top of the barrel rib is marked "E. REMINGTON & SONS ILION, N.Y./ELLIOTS PATENT DEC. 12TH 1865". Matching numbers are marked on the lower barrel and left side of the frame under the grip panel. Has an extractor and smooth pearl bird head type grips.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The pistol retains 85% original nickel finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. There are a number of dings on the left side of the barrels and the ejector. The grips are very good with an area of chipping on the right panel. Mechanically fine.
